Scrape away Pain and Anxiety
Before Graston was being used by Chiropractors and Physical Therapists, Traditional Chinese doctors were performing the technique Gua Sha. It involves the scraping of the skin with a smooth edged implement.
Rather than pulling to the surface a deeper stagnation like cupping, this technique breaks up stagnation that is present at the surface. The outcome is a bumpy, rash look that is called Sha.
This technique really helps to break up the tension held in the muscles from either mental or physical stress. It is also great at breaking up adhesions that can occur after an injury.
